2007 The Archimage

92 POINTS Wine and Spirits Magazine AUG 2010 91 POINTS and CELLAR SELECTION Wine Enthusiast Magazine AUG 2010 "2007 proved to be another hallmark vintage for Washington State, and we took full advantage of the perfect growing conditions to produce the 2007 Archimage, our homage to the great Right bank blends from St. Emilion in Bordeaux. This blockbuster blend of 54% Merlot and 46% Cabernet Franc is exotic and ripe, full of fresh red fruits like cherries and currants, and framed by notes of cedar and mocha from the barrel program of 30% new French oak. It has precision and balance, while the weight of the fruit is buoyed by the natural acid and tannin that will allow this wine to age gracefully for the next 12-15 years. The tiny production of less than 300 cases assures you that this wine is a treasure to share with only your best friends!

2007 The Illusionist

92 POINTS and CELLAR SELECTION Wine Enthusiast Magazine AUG 2010 92 POINTS Wine and Spirits Magazine AUG 2010 "The final blend of The Illusionist is 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Petit Verdot, 16% Malbec, 16% Cabernet Franc, 8% Syrah, and 5% Merlot. The wine was aged for 22 months in 30% new French oak, the remainder in 1 and 2 year old French oak barrels. The wine is rich and lush, full of dark fruits including plums and black cherries, and with a beautiful spice component to complement the fine tannin structure. To add to the rich dimension of the wine, there is some minerality as well. This wine will gain in complexity as it ages, and should be ready to drink in about 3-5 years, but will easily age for the next 12-15 or so. Maybe longer!
