The 2016 Magician is 100% Riesling from Evergreen Vineyard, located high on the cliffs high above the Columbia River in the middle of Washington State. 2016 was a perfect vintage to show off Evergreen's cool climate character, which allows for extra hang time for the grapes, the result of which is more flavor, while maintaining the beautiful acidity that is the framework of this wine. Bright, crisp and juicy are the hallmarks of this Riesling, full of green apple and pear notes, juicy minerality and refreshing citrus notes. The very subtle sweetness is perfectly balanced by the acids, and if ever there were a perfect wine for spicy foods, this is the one!
The 2017 Magician’s Assistant Rose’ is a bone-dry 100% Cabernet Franc Rose’ that screams out summertime; but don’t be fooled. This full bodied rose’ is a year-round, food-friendly rose’ that provides the perfect in-between wine for dishes that feel too hearty for a white, but too delicate for a big red. It is full of fresh strawberry and cherry, with a hint of wet stone and citrus on the finish.
The 2015 Enchantress Chardonnay comes from the 35+ year old Wente-clone chardonnay vines at French Creek Vineyard in the Yakima Valley AVA. Old World in style, it sees no new oak. Aging on the lees in all neutral oak french barrels, it has a wonderful creamy mouthfeel, great acidity, and delicate fruit.

"Tasted out of barrel and a mix of 53% Cabernet Franc and 47% Merlot, the 2014 The Archimage has a gorgeous floral character as well as lots of red and black berry fruits, spice and underbrush characteristics. Full-bodied, layered, beautifully concentrated, yet always fresh and lively, it should be the finest vintage of the cuvee to date."

"The first vintage to include Merlot, the 2014 The Illusionist checks in as a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 4% Merlot. The idea with the Merlot was to soften the profile slightly, and the Merlot was the best two barrels in the winery. It is a seamless, full-bodied, incredible looking barrel sample that has pure, layered notes of cassis, graphite, blue fruits and toasted spice notes that continue to change with time in the glass. Give it a few years of bottle age and enjoy it through 2034."

"Just bottled, the 100% Syrah Levitation is a gorgeous, voluptuous and hedonistic beauty that’s overflowing with notes of blackberry jam, cassis, licorice and pepper. Deep, rich and unctuous, it has full-bodied richness, no hard edges and a layered, low acid, decadent texture, It’s a seriously sexy Syrah to drink over the coming 6-8 years.”
The 2015, limited-production, “Sorceress” is a blend of 60% Grenache (from Upland Vineyard in the Snipes Mountain AVA) and 40% Syrah (from Les Collines Vineyard in the Walla Walla AVA).
19+/20 Points - Review of Washington Wines, October 2017
"This combination of 60% Upland Grenache and 40% Les Collines Syrah exhibits a brick red color and a seductive, perfumed nose of raspberry, cranberry, pomegranate and red currants, with scents of red rose petals, bayberry, lavender, sweet tobacco and incense. The flavors, as well, are alluring, with mouth caressing medium bodied fruits that are endowed with red licorice, cocoa powder, medium roast and minerals. The back picks up gently pressed berries, toasted nuts and charcoal, followed by a lingering satiny tannin finish."
