Join us for an evening of amazing music, friends, and wine! We are so excited to be hosting 2 amazing bands on Friday, June 12th at our SODO tasting room. We have Look Sharp/Aim True (an Acoustic Tribute to Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson) as well as Ragazza, an electro-rock, new wave soul collaboration with our friend Dejha Colantuono and her musical partner Joey Veneziani.
Look Sharp/Aim True: Acoustic Tribute to Elvis Costello and Joe Jackson
Helmed by Seattle-based musician Ari Rosenschein (STAHV, The Royal Oui, Ari Shine), Look Sharp Aim True is an acoustic tribute celebrating the golden age of witty, melodic new wave. This show channels icons Elvis Costello, Joe Jackson, Squeeze, and Nick Lowe.
Rosenschein's touring history includes supporting Chris Shiflett (Foo Fighters), John Doe (X), Rhett Miller, Wreckless Eric, Lene Lovich, Liam Finn, Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel, Mike Peters (The Alarm), Redd Kross, Silversun Pickups, and Hugh Cornwell (The Stranglers). He has worked with Jennifer Finch (L7), Josie Cotton, Gaby Moreno, and Angela McCluskey (Wild Colonials). Rosenschein's songs have appeared on Veronica Mars and Shameless, and he co-wrote the 2006 John Lennon Songwriting Contest Song of the Year.
RAGAZZA is the electro-rock/new wave soul collaboration between singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Dejha Colantuono and multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer Joey Veneziani. Blending atmospheric electronics, live instrumentation, soulful melodies, and cinematic production, the duo creates a sound that feels both nostalgic and futuristic.
Originally called Il bel sogno di questa ragazza (“the beautiful dream of this girl”), the project was later shortened to simply Ragazza. At its core is the collision of a soulful rock ’n’ roll voice with dark, immersive electronic production inspired by artists like Massive Attack.
Though they haven’t performed together regularly in years, each reunion reveals how much the project has evolved, leaving audiences wondering what Ragazza will do next.

We are proud and excited to welcome Tomo Nakayama back to our stage on Friday, June 5th (Doors at 5pm, show at 6pm) as part of our new series of community-driven gatherings from Sleight of Hand and SMASH—bringing together great music, amazing wines, and open conversations about musicians’ health and well-being. Set in a space that feels less like a club and more like a shared living room, these events are designed for connection, curiosity, and care.
Proceeds from each show benefit SMASH.
Purchase Tickets for the show HERE.
We first hosted Tomo in 2019 when he opened for Jeremy Enigk (Sunny Day Real Estate) and have hosted him several times since then. He was a natural ask for this project because of his history with Seattle, and his own personal journey as an artist living in Seattle and witnissing first hand the dramatic changes that are happening to our artist community in regards to access to affordable health care.
Born in Japan and raised in Seattle, Tomo Nakayama has explored the lines between intimate indie folk, exuberant synth pop, and cinematic soundtracks for over two decades. Best known for placements in Netflix’s “House of Ninjas” and the Sundance Grand Jury nominated film “Touchy Feely”, Tomo’s music has been praised by NPR, KEXP, and the New York Times, and his hit single “Get to Know You” received over 2 million streams worldwide. He has toured across the world, sharing the stage with artists such as Cornelius, Ron Sexsmith, Fruit Bats, Thao, and Stella Donnelly. A versatile multi-instrumentalist and composer, Tomo has also accompanied and collaborated with Dave Matthews, Jeremy Enigk (of Sunny Day Real Estate), Sera Cahoone, Jherek Bischoff, Jesse Sykes, Donnie Emerson (Dreamin’ Wild, Light in the Attic), and experimental dance company Malacarne.
We are proud and excited to welcome Ian Moore to our stage on Friday, May 8th for the first concert in a new series of community-driven gatherings from Sleight of Hand and SMASH—bringing together great music, amazing wines, and open conversations about musicians’ health and well-being. Set in a space that feels less like a club and more like a shared living room, these events are designed for connection, curiosity, and care.
Proceeds from each show benefit SMASH.
Ian is the co-fouder of SMASH, and a world renowned guitar player who cut his chops in Texas. He calls Vashon Island his home now (lucky for us). I found this blurb about Ian and couldn't have said it any better:
"He plays shows like they are the last thing he will ever do, and though he is known for his skills as a singer, guitarist, and songwriter, the ferocity and spirit are his stock-in-trade. When Ian plays, he doesn’t do it to show his ability. He plays to create a communion with his audience. When he sings, he is seeking a connection- to elevate and heal. When he writes, his songs dance with the darkness, but always hold the promise of redemption and light."
We're proud to have Ian be our first artist in this special SMASH series and hope you can join us for this special evening. Doors will be at 5pm and event will begin at 6pm
